Brain researcher and jazz musician Peter Vuust and his colleagues receive DKK 46 million from Danmarks Grundforskningsfond / The Danish National Research Foundation for an extension of the Center for Music in the Brain (MIB) at Aarhus University and The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus/Aalborg.

”We began by investigating what takes place in the brain when we listen to music. That is, how music affects us individually. How we feel, listen and move when we hear music. And whether it affects us in the same way. Now, we move on to the next step, which is naturally enough to investigate how music affects us collectively, for example when we play music together, listen to it together, or when we sing together, as many of us in Denmark have done every Friday over the last months,” says Peter Vuust.
